GOLD PLATED – All of their plated items are made from brass or sterling silver over 18k to 24k gold. The item is all nickel and lead free. Gold plating is a thin layer of high-quality nickel plated onto the base metal. Then the jewellery is dipped into a final layer of gold and a positive electrical charge is used to fuse the gold onto the base metal.  
Gold Sister jewellery requires some level of care to keep it looking its best. Remove jewellery when sleeping, exercising, swimming, and showering. Avoid contact with perfume, lotion and any chemicals. Never use a ‘jewellery’ cleaner – as these will strip away the gold plating. To lightly clean, use a soft, lint-free cloth.
Gold Sister Jewellery is made to a high quality stand but needs to be loved.
When you aren’t wearing your jewellery, store it in a fabric-lined box, or a soft cloth away from dust and dirt. An airtight box is ideal as it can minimise the oxidisation of the silver base.
To prevent tarnishing, wipe jewellery after use. The accumulation of body oils, cosmetics and grime can cause the jewellery to lose its sparkle and to fade.
Avoid wiping items with coarse fabrics or chemicals as this can strip the gold off. Only use a 100% cotton or microfiber cloth to very softly wipe the item and warm soapy water.
Never use chemicals to clean your jewellery. This refers to makeup, washing liquid and even chlorine from swimming pools. These can discolour the jewellery.
